Effective date: May 22, 2026
Muni collects account information such as your email address, display name, and details needed to create and manage your account.
Muni stores profile preferences such as currency, language, timezone, theme, app-lock preference, and notification settings when you use those features.
Muni stores the financial records you enter or confirm, including amounts, dates, currencies, categories, notes, counterparties, accounts, debts, savings, assets, credit cards, planned expenses, recurring rules, reminders, and related metadata.
Muni may also store chat messages, draft records, AI-related usage information, subscription status, billing references, and basic error information needed to run and protect the app.
Muni uses your data to sign you in, sync your records, show your financial log, suggest drafts and insights, schedule reminders, manage subscriptions and usage limits, prevent abuse, fix issues, and support account deletion or export.
Muni does not use your financial records to make lending, credit, insurance, employment, or eligibility decisions.
Muni uses AI to help turn what you type or say into draft records, summaries, and financial observations. AI results can be wrong or incomplete, so you should review drafts and suggestions before saving or relying on them.
Muni's AI chat assistant may respond to questions about your financial records and offer general guidance. This guidance is generated automatically based on the data you provide and is for informational purposes only — it is not professional financial advice. See the Terms & Conditions for the full AI financial guidance disclaimer.
Muni sends only the information reasonably needed to understand your request or generate a response. For broader insights, Muni aims to use less personal detail where possible.
Your financial records and chat messages sent to the AI are processed by third-party AI providers under confidentiality agreements. Muni does not sell this data or use it to target you with advertising.
When voice capture is available, Muni may convert speech to text before processing it.
Muni uses trusted service providers to run the app, store data, process requests, and protect accounts.
Muni uses reasonable safeguards designed to keep your account and records private. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Muni is currently designed to work online for sign-in, syncing, and AI features.
Free-text messages and notes can contain sensitive details. Muni is designed to limit how long raw text is kept when it is no longer needed for review or support.
Structured records produced from confirmed entries remain until you edit or delete them, or until account deletion removes them.
Muni can store reminders and send device notifications when you turn those features on. Notification permission is requested when needed.
Reminder notifications are designed to avoid exposing sensitive amounts on the lock screen unless you choose settings that allow more detail.
Subscription information may include your plan, status, renewal dates, and purchase references.
Muni does not store full payment-card numbers or CVV codes.
You can sign out, enable or disable app lock where available, manage subscriptions through billing surfaces, and request account deletion from Settings.
Data export is planned for a future update.
Account deletion requires password confirmation in the app. After confirmation, Muni immediately asks the server to permanently delete the account and user-owned app data where applicable.
Some limited records may remain where necessary for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, subscription audit integrity, or backup integrity.
